Exam Result

First of all I would like to say thank you to my friends who wish, support and help me during the semester. =)

And the below is my achievement on my previous exam:

Average: 60.25%
Point: 1.660 (+0.565 based I; +0.237 based III)


I'm glad that I able to pass the papers this round as before this I have no much confidence to pass all the papers. Thanks to luck as well.

Right after the exam, I worried about my paper P1 as this was the worst paper I did this round. And I able to get through it! Really happy. =) Whilst paper F8 I getting worried as I found out, two weeks before the result day, that I did wrong in audit risk question which worth 10 marks. This brought my paper F8 into danger but I believed that I would pass the paper as I have enough marks on other questions to cover the lost. Thank God. =X
I had high expectation on paper F9 after exam but ended up with an unexpected mark but as long as it passed. And paper P2 is the best paper I did this round (as per the marks I got). As mentioned early, two out of three (so must have to choose one) of the option questions in paper P2 are rather difficult. In short, I lost around 25 marks on the questions and left my total marks with 75 marks. And I able to get 68 out of 75 which is great enough. =)

ACCA FUNDAMENTAL
Aggregate Total: 400/600
Aggregate Average: 66.67% (rounded 67%)

As above, I can complete my OBU Degree with First Class Honours only if my Research Analysis Project (RAP) is awarded with grade A or B. Kinda despair as I wish to get an average mark of 68% so that I can get my OBU Degree regardless of the grade awarded to my RAP as long as I pass it. No matter how, I'm still considering doing OBU Degree RAP Project probably in forthcoming semester.

Actually I wish to talk about my ACCA mates but I don't think that's a good idea. =X

Sem IV Holidays

Sorry for the no post for long time. =X
For today's post I have to use 'terms of reference' as my starting point as I have too much to write about. Haha

Exam was over for two weeks time and that's the date my holidays began. And I still have to summarise my comment on the exam on June 2011 which is the Semester IV examination.

 Ranking for each papers on (starts from the best to the least) 
Time management: F9 > F8 > P1 > P2
Difficulty: P2 > F9 > P1 > F8
Confidence before exam: F9 > P2 > F8 > P1
Confidence after exam: F9 > P2 > F8 > P1

 Summarised comments for each papers 
Day 1/4 Paper F8 Audit and Assurance
The questions are obviously easy compared to last few sittings. But I have not much confidence on the paper may be due to lack of full preparation (preparation definitely had but just not 100% covered). I wish I could have passed the paper. =)

Day 2/4 Paper F9 Financial Management
The questions are just normal, as usual except for Question 3 which is challenging as the examiner didn't clearly stated what he wanted the candidates to answer (he did by use of hints). As well he included perpetual calculation (under NPV topic) and scrip dividend (under Dividend policy topic) which is not taught in the normal classes (may be included in notes for some lecture classes). I think I could pass the paper. =)

Day 3/4 Paper P1 Governance, Risk and Ethics
The questions are quite okay and many of the questions are discussed by David Campbell, the examiner in his recent technical articles. I think I have done acceptably on most parts of the questions except for the statement written part which I was lacked of time when I writting the statement. No matter how, I as well wish that I could have passed the paper. =)

Day 4/4 Paper P2 Corporate Reporting
The 50-mark-Question-1 is quite easy but it required lots of workings to be done. And I got balanced my balance sheet (SOFP). The 25-mark-Question-4 is expected and the question is acceptably okay (not that hard). The headache parts are the 25-mark-Question 2 and 3 which show the least hint in the facts on what's required by the questions. I have just simply answer for the headache parts. In conclusion, I think I could achieve a pass mark for the paper. =)

In short, I hope I can pass all my papers for Semester IV examination. =)

II About holidays
This semester I have approximately 3 weeks time as my semester break. =X And I have been Penang for 3 days 3 nights with my OIC mates which is great. =) Then I have a lot outings as well and I have SingK for 3 times during this 3 weeks time. Haha Fun is it? Lolz Below is my summarised outings during my semester break. =)

About the SomeOne Birthday Celebration with Brothers

I hope that you guys will enjoy the event especially the main character - the birthday boy - of the day. Some changes have been made to fit in the timing as well as the circumstances arise. No matter how, Sherine has put lots of effort on the event. So we must enjoy the event. Haha =)

And the free days normally will be roomkeeping days (although it started early). Haha What a busy semester break. And it is going to over soon. =( A lot of things need to do and some are done some yet to be done, like for example, packing last semester files and notes, printing necessary syllabus documents for next semester, packing trips documentary, arranging computer files and photos etc. Haha I quite enjoy my busy holidays. =) Ops The only things I forget to do is to manage my health (sleeping time) and body shape. I will try to do these from today's onwards. =X

III About New Semester - Semester V
The new semester will start on 8th of July (next Friday). And the papers I taking this semester are as follows:

Previously, I again have put myself into a dilemma situation whether to choose the option papers merely based on my interest (personal interest) or the usefulness of the option papers in future (working life). And I have solve the dilemma and end up choosing the papers by the usefulness. The remaining two option papers I might have taken as part time study while I'm working as part of additional knowledge that might be required in future working life. =)

This semester I will have lesser class compared to last semester. But the syllabus are much more compared to last semester. Lol Haha So I have to work for the same effort and indeed, more effort is required compared to last semester as last semester I was not doing that good actually. Hereby I attach my timetable at below so that you guys can check my free time and date me. Haha =)

Semester V Timetable

Half of the year of 2011 is past as well my Semester IV. I will continue to work hard play hard for the remaining half of the year (which is my Semester V as well). =)

I have long time didn’t updated my blog. And I was like feeling want to write out from A to Z but I won’t do that as I don’t think much people will read it if it was too long.

ABOUT PROGRESSION

First of all, I would like to share with you guys my last exam result.

Achieving an average of 70.25%, I satisfy with the result but just a little bit ‘shock’ when I see the result of Paper F4. No matter how, I have being granted a pass for it so no big deal.

Recently, I cann’t decide whether to take Paper P1 this exam sitting as its syllabus was too dry. And at the same time, it’s technical where the syllabus require you to have a mature and critical thinking in understanding and analysing the content. Eventually, I have decided to take Paper P1 in the forthcoming exam sitting. The contingency plan is get ready right now to hasten the back up and curtail the resultant effect if anything goes wrong probably in five months time. 

Again, I taking such a big risk during exam compare with last exam sitting. The syllabus of 4 papers taken this sitting is much wider now as well as the deepness of the content is increasing.

In short, I will try my best in doing all kinds of hard work hoping that one day I will be qualified as a professional accountant and continue pursue with my life goal in future years.

ABOUT LIFE

I’m getting lazier as the time goes by. At now, I’m doing everything trying to wake up from previous laziness and be able to get back onto track. Hope I can get well on this soon.

Another point I want to mention here is, I’m seriously lacked of support. Sometimes I’m just getting idiotic as I lose to loneliness. I don’t know why I have so many friends but I cann’t even find one of them just to explicit what is in my heart and in my mind. Is that because I too smart? While I always solving others’ problems, no one is helping me in solving my problems. Am I too smart? No one able to solve my problems, I forced to have it being solved myself.

Sigh~ Life is like that, I cann’t choose who I want to be, even if I can, no one will know what I had chosen.

And I realise that, my close friends most are coupled. May be this is why I getting lonely as time goes by, or in other words – please allow me to say this – people are just overlooking their brothers; may be brother ship is not as what the word it means or as what people say; may be my luck isn’t that good, especially on friendship; and may be, I having some problems over my personal attitude.

Sigh~ Life Is like that, I cann’t choose who I want to be with, even if I can, no one will appreciate what I had done.

ABOUT FRIENDSHIP

I think this is the year where the David’s Friendship Award (DFA) has first time been revoked. The main reason for this I think is due to the bad experience that I had on my friendship. No matter how, I hope I can do this on coming years. I wish I would not get or continue such a bad experience in my life anymore.

In addition, I had revoked allegedly ‘brothers’ title for some of my (secondary school) friends, and only part of which have becomes my buddy, others are just my normal friends (or ex-classmates may be). New grouping sounds more like ‘degrading’ but that’s what I did. This is my commitment towards my friendship, where ‘valuable’ is retained and vice versa.

If you think you're my best group of friends, then you should read this post.

I had failed in fighting against the 'dark age' of mood. I don't know whether this is due to myself or people surrounding me, but let assume it's due to myself. To ascertain the reason of my mood getting unstable a.k.a. 'grey area', I have try my best write out some points down here to express out my deep heart conscious.

The following is my personal view to teenagers nowadays..

View: (Note: People who I mentioned are majority of all, not everyone.)
Teenagers now are getting 'idiotic' or 'dreaming' all the time. The mature thinking is never present in their mind where they think themselves are enough mature for everything. In that, this leads to people in town lose their culture and ethics as well. In my personal view, I have to leave this bunch of thinking people.

With regard of the view, for sure, I always link it to my life ie. environment. First of all, my friends, who might think their own are mature in nature, fall in love. Fall in love in its own nothing is wrong. But this group of people their mind stands at a wrong a.k.a. 'ready-to-fail' position. Some of the reasons that I could identify are:
1. Act in a way that obviously show they are not mature at all.
2. Act oftenly in a way that acting to be mature.
3. Without reality thinking at ALL.
4. Express their feeling which sounds so mature but it's not at ALL.
5. Inflexibility etc

I have not falling in love prior. You might say: "You don't understand what love is!" (which many people like to say this to people who never fall in love like me). But, please, view on people actions of an outsider is much more detail than the main characters. I am a guy also, I will fall in love as well, so please, don't think you are 'god of love' or 'king of love' or 'love killer' or what-so-ever. (In rude way: Please stand infront the mirror and look at yourselves!)

Yeah. You may say everyone has his (her) own view. As so my view is only personal view. I cann't blame you and you cann't blame me as well on this.

Back to the point today, which is about the 'dark age' of mood. I'm getting frustrated on my friendship as I cann't really accept my friends having some points of act that I stated just now (To me: It's exactly a STUPID act). May be just because I'm a Sagittarian, overreact and like to point people weaknesses. However, I believe I am an optimistic person, simply because I'm a Sagittarian.

In conclusion, you may say being my friend is stress enough, but that's my little requirement on friendship (haven't go thro' the ability and intelligence test). Ha =)

The worst part of today's blog is over, let's continue with some happy stuff. =)

First of all, I have to say thank you to MCT for the SingK fee. I thought I pay myself one actually but then... - - Nevermind lol Thank you very much. =)

CNY is coming soon, and I have plan some event included yam-cha (drink but tea not beer =X), pre-CNY outing and house visit during CNY. Hopefully these events will have the flag 'on' till the end. =)

Start of new year

Recently, I have added few 'box' on my blog. These are something that I want to express. Hahaha

The school days have started again and this semester is not going to be that 'easy' or 'relax' anymore. Seriously, this semester is the hardest life. I having 4 days night class consecutively, and one particular day I will have morning and night class, with a gap of around 5 hours. However, I will try my best, still for this semester and future.

Since last few days, I had undergo 'dark age' of mood. I cann't stop thinking all the worst circumstance. The reason for this, I don't know. I just want back my normal life.

And I have found that, I'm not that confident as before. In other words, my confidence has gone down. I'm trying to solve this. Ha - -

End of third semester

Woo... Finally exam is over! And peace is here now on (seem like World War III during the exam period) xDDD So should I celebrate my victory day? Yeah! Of course! And following are some of my post-exam activities xDDD

Paper F6 Taxation (MYS) on Day 1/4

The new examiner is crazy LOL New style of his might kill many candidates this sitting, I think. The first question really abnormal, which specifically asked about the spouse and child reliefs. In addition, the dual employment is another topic which never ever seen before! The company tax as well go CRAZY as the comments part only focus on certain HARD level adjustments (e.g. restrictive covenant). In conclusion, CRAZY! =___=

Paper F4 Corporate and Business Law (MYS) on Day 2/4

Generally, it was okay to me, but, just that one of the question surprisingly never ever see before during normal class nor revision nor on other notes. That particular question is in the past year and found by Chee Yeen who asked me what it's about but I seem to just ignore it as I don't know about it as well LOL! End up coming out the EXACTLY the same question. While on the application questions, it was okay and no unexpectation happened. Hahaha =___+

Paper F5 Performance Management on Day 3/4

The new examiner is crazy as well LOL Linear programming is coming out again although last exam it was already out! And this shocked a lot candidates, I think. Whilst, other questions like ABC and performance measurement seem to be okay except the last question which is FULL theory on budgeting (again, last T7 exam I got this too). And the particular variances analysis question is getting more FUN. The answer is GIVEN at the start of the paragraph, but whether you able to calculate the answer for each variances that's depend on your skill, I think. +___+

Paper F7 Financial Reporting on Day 4/4

The examiner might have boring with his job, and came out something really unexpectedly LOL The question 3 which is normally a mix of Statement of Cash Flows (SOCF) and Ratio analysis, end up with 'Assessing financial performance and position' with a score of 25 marks ENTIRELY. The first two questions this round still okay, not hard yet not simple as well. And I got a BALANCE figure for question 2! Very happy with that although not both questions, but satisfied. =DD Whilst the question 4 came out IAS 8 which I had just simply go through, sadly. Lolz And question 5 is a mix of discontinue operations and held for sale which are the scope of IFRS 5. +___=

Decision will be finalise before 23rd December 2010 LOL xDDD
